SA001- STEREOTYPERIDER "Fair Weather Fan"

The first Sunset Alliance Release, and the first of many by what many believe is one of the best heavy rock bands Arizona has ever offered. Stereotyperider continues to push the envelope with the brand of post-hardcore advances. It's no wonder they receive such high praises from many of the prominent bands around the country. See what they're up to now! Stereotyperider

SA002- CORRUPT CITIZEN "Uninvited"

One of the forefathers of Sunset Alliance, Corrupt Citizen helped start it all. Now defunct, the band is still highly regarded, and the members can be found in various projects.

ALLY012- REDFIELD "LOST SIGHT"

One of the forefathers of Sunset Alliance, and still alive and well. Redfield is a definite forefather for the current push of post-hardcore/metal bands in Arizona.

SA003- REDFIELD "Born To Rock"

Baby, these guys were Born to Rock like Springsteen was born to run!

SA005- TRIPLESPLIT SERIES I. FIVESPEED/BEFORE BRAILLE/
ANDHERSON

The first of what was planned to be many in the Triplesplit Series. This release had sold more consistantly than any in the Sunset Alliance catalog, and it has now been put to rest. Fivespeed & Before Braille are still going strong to date, members of Andherson split and still create and contribute to the world of music and film.

SA006- NOT ONE LIGHT RED:A MODIFIED DOCUMENT
Compilation of mostly exclusive songs from inspiring Phoenix-area artists in support of the Modified, home to the finest performing arts in Arizona. As David Jensen and Scott Tennent worked on this project collectively for over 3 years creating one of the most prized of all AZ local music possessions. Both Dave & Scott vowed to never do a compilation again. Only one of them kept his promise. Cover art by Sergio Aguirre.

The compilation provided the first live show and recording of Jim Adkins's (Jimmy Eat World) short lived project Go Big Casino, as well as many other respected bands who had performed @ Modified Arts including, Seven Storey, Fivespeed, Fivespeed, Sea Of Cortez, Harcuvar, Pinewood Derby, Redfield, Before Braille, Sextet, Pollen, ...And Guppies Eat Their Young, Scott Tennent, Reubens Accomplice, Fightshy, Death Of Marat, Chula, Half Visconte.

out of print.

SA007- LAST DAY PARADE "Driving At 90 mph"

First joint release venture with a label outside of Arizona...Philadelphia based Kickstart Audio. Unfortunately the band didn't last as long as the buzz about it. LDP will probably remain Albuquerque's best kept secret.

out of print.

ALLY010- FELIX takes on THE MANHATTAN PROJECT "TWO YEARS OF SILENCE" LP

Growing up in the school systems and neighborhoods of Mesa as friends, these bands, Felix and The Manhattan Project became 2 of the most enjoyable (and followed) bands in the greater Phoenix area. Both bands called it quits for at least 2 years during the production of this split release, ALLY010, for members to venture to different parts of the world in support of their endeavors. It seems only fitting that the bands who grew up together also died together. R.I.P. Pego aka Felix, R.I.P. Scooch, aka The Manhattan Project.

SA008- THE MANHATTAN PROJECT "The Night Was Sultry..."

A lost and almost forgotten release that only die-hard Sunset Allies know about. In the transistion of organization for Sunset Alliance, this record sort of slipped through the cracks.

Look for the new band XYZEBRA that has grown like a beautiful flower from the ashes of what once was.

ALLY013- THE BLED "His First Crush" EP

Second joint release, and it blew up in our faces. Ride the Rocket Records skipped town and out of our agreement, then fizzled. Fiddler Records gobbled up The Bled and brought the band the much deserved attention they needed. Great band, great guys, and maybe their greatest record. Contact The Bled directly to track down a copy, or for news on this fine band go to Fiddler Records

out of print.

ALLY014- THE NECRONAUTS "MELODIC ARRAY OF CHANGE"

The Necronauts are still working hard and releasing records in the Phoenix area. A beloved band of Arizona, please see their website and follow up on this special blend of indie rock flavors. The Necronauts

ALLY015- SIGNSEDSO "S/T"

A band who has since returned from wence it came, Signsedso lives and thrives in Chicago, IL. We'll never forget their musicianship, and hope the future provides us more of it's goodness.

ALLY016- THE PLAYER PIANO "S/T"

It may always be pertinent to ask what might have been if The Player Piano would have continued playing music rather than ending for members to go to law school, med school, etc. Our most popular band in Japan, Belgium, France, and many other parts of the world, most recognition was garnered after the members left Utah and had a couple post-grad semesters under their belts, and multiple releases in "post-Piano" bands.

"The musical spaces cleared by The Player Piano are exceptionally beautiful, involving and entrancing." -Derives,Belgium

P.S. This release is open to licensing discussions if you want to get it back in print.

ALLY017- SHOTSTAR "WHAT THE HELL IS ROCK'N'ROLL?"

Third joint release with Chicago based Downfall Records. Shotstar started in Prescott, AZ with moody sounds...but sort of changed their tune in their move to Tucson, AZ where the heat must have inspired them to drop their mittens and pick up kittens. I'm not sure what that means, but I can tell you that the album title may ask the question, but the music defines it.

ARGO001, ALLY018- HALF VISCONTE S/T EP

Primarily released by This Argonaut Records. Half Visconte is known for the ingenuitive and improvisational performances, as well as their intelligently crafted recordings. They have been recognized as one of the top 50 bands ever in Arizona by local publications and would have taken over the world if not for their uncommon interests outside the band. Members are now scattered around in Chicago, New York and Phoenix, and are all still actively persuing their respective arts, and solo ventures.

this is bobcat flash. he is just having fun here.
